Basically it is a take-out, but there is a space to eat in the store (not a table, etc., a counter to stand and eat).
I'm from Suzuki.
I haven't seen it yet. Tea cups for free will be lined up as soon as it is gone.
How is it (> _ <) I bought it and ate it on the spot. Because it is ice, I feel that I can also bring it home with a cup, but I am sorry about uncertain information (T_T)
I will answer. There is a second store on the street 120 meters to the north side of the head office, one street west of Fuji street.
My favorite green tea ice cream ever. I love it and I always get the level 7 which is the strongest level they have. It’s a taste that doesn’t suit everyone but they have sweeter flavors with different tea flavors. Hojicha is another one of my favorites. Interior is very cozy and there’s usually a line that moves quickly.
You must come here to try if you are addicted to matcha!!They have all different degree of the matcha icecream. I try the strongest matcha. It tasted bit bitter, but very smoothly, and you can taste a bit sweet as well. It's perfect to match with any other sweeter flavor!I hear it usually has a long line. But I actually went there in Feb, which is low season and also it's winter. So only couple people in front of me:)
After Kamakura, it was the best matcha ice-cream I've ever tried! Thank you!
Must taste for matcha and ice-cream lover!! Tried the Premium No.7, it was smooth and rich. Really worth to try, will definitely visit again!
You can choose between different kinds of matcha flavors which vary in their taste and bitterness. They also have other sorts of gelato that are uncommon for western taste like black sesame and other tee flavors. Its pretty expenisve though.
Good price for nice matcha ice-cream, had really strong matcha flavour.I got the double scoop for number 4 and number 5 and I felt that this was just right, maybe experiment with 7 if youre into that strong matcha taste
Awesome variety of teas and tea powders. The houjicha icecream was brilliant
Came for the Gelato - my husband appreciated the challenge of the level 7 match gelato - which he very much enjoyed (I highly enjoyed my less ambitious strawberry flavour). Queue wasn't too bad - though there very little places to sit and enjoy - found a corner to stand in. But would definitely return.
i like this place very much. they have the best matcha. worth a visit!
Friendly staff and the 7th level of matcha ice cream is very tasty
Known for 7 different levels of matcha ice cream. The strongest flavor has a really strong matcha flavor but surprisingly the ice cream tastes not that bitter but rather a mild sweet aftertaste that left on your palate. Enjoyable and the price is reasonable.
Several level of matcha icecream. No7 is a special matcha. It's great.
Always good. Sometimes busy.
Matcha for the people! Wonderful nice matcha tea ice cream! Im not much for strong matcha flavours but even the strongest matcha is amazing.
Flavors were nice and rich, however there are not many seats and mostly standing areas. Busy place with a consistent flow of customers. Love the selection of ice cream though, spoilt for choices!
Quality matcha ice cream with a good range of matcha “strength†to choose from. Perpetually crowded with tourists and easily accessible from the Senso-ji.
Highly recommend 3 or 4, but do try 7 once :)
I tried 4 of the 7 kinds of matcha ice cream and personally like the lower number ones more because they are sweeter. They also offer other (tea) flavours for the ones who don't like matcha.
Matcha ice cream was yummy but quite expensive.
✨Gorgeous green tea ice cream this one is “Matcha Gelato Premium No.7â€
Must-visit for matcha lovers. Premium No.7 matcha ice cream was unique but a bit too bitter for me, yet very rich matcha flavour.
The ice-cream is very good, I hate matcha, so I've tried black sesame and mango. Black sesame is a must-try. Also you can buy matcha there for your friends and family. Have 4 starts solely for crowdedness.
Amazing green tea ice cream. We had the #3 and the #7 (strongest). If you like black coffee without sugar, you should like the #7.
Ordered Level 5 Matcha and Black Sesame cone(520yen). Matcha was quite strong and bitter but still has a hint of sweetness.Black Sesame was quite fragrant. Bit on ice a few times so it is not as “smooth†but the taste of ice cream made up for it.
Tasty matcha ice-cream. No.7 is good.
Quick snack. No seating area.Really good matcha! The No.7 was the thickest matcha ice cream I’ve ever had. They also sell some different tea products. Souvenir shopping is available.
Tried the premium top level matcha ice cream. Bitter at first but it gradually takes on a nice taste and would be great for sharing if you are not too keen on stronger tasting matcha. Had it with the cone. Long but quick moving queue although limited standing space indoors.
The green matcha ice cream was extremely creamy and refreshing on a scorching summer day! I got the Matcha No 4 which I found to be the perfect blend. I had a fantastic time.
Small store and crowded places. No tasting before buying but if u love green tea there is 7 level of green tea ice cream to offer
I try the premium matcha (level 7) with hojicha. The green tea is really delicious, rich, and a little bit bitter which I love it. I could have this everyday. Really love it.
Delicious matcha gelato. 7 levels up to the darkest and most intense.
Delicious green tea ice cream. So creamy and really rich flavors. There are 7 different levels of green tea intensity. Go for the premium (level 7) version. The level 4 one was way too subtle. The black sesame flavor was excellent and was actually my favorite. The ice cream came nicely scooped in cute little black cups but I started eating mine before I remembered to take a pic. I really wish I could get this back home!
Probably one of the best Matcha ice-creams in Japan. The tastes is strong and rich but not bitter at all (grade 6).
What a terrific experience! The selection was incredible and the matcha at intensity level 7 lived up to expectations. Highly recommended!
Creative matcha icecream with 7 level of green tea extract intensities1-7 the strongest. For exotic taste gourmet,I tried one scoop of No.7 ice cream, it looked like chewing plain tea leaves without any substance.so I suggest the best taste is No.3 icecream.
Delicious matcha icecreams.
I only give this 4/5 because I don’t LOVE matcha. BUT, if you do. You should go here. It claims and prides itself as the strongest matcha ice cream and I’ve tried it, my advice would be to cut it with another flavor. It’s good, really good actually but you’ll likely have to line up behind many local schoolgirls.
Good quality gelato but wouldn’t say it’s anything overly special. The black sesame was actually better than the matcha no. 5. I love matcha but I imagine the premium no. 7 would be way too strong and bitter.
Matcha LEVEL7 was so good. Best matcha ice cream i ever had!
Very yummy ice cream, will go back again
Provide a very strong matcha gelato taste, if you love original matcha, this place is a must!
I have been trying matcha ice cream all over Japan during my visit here. This was by far the best. If you go early, there is no line.
If you like matcha, the Premium no. 7 gelato is for you. Very good, but I wouldn't wait more than 5 mins or so for it.
Had the No.3 Green Tea and Black Tea Icecreams and they were a perfect balance between subtle bitterness and sweetness. A highly recommended combination for those wanting a safe balance between bitter/sweet ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
The q for ice cream is real! The ice cream is nice be careful when u eat the ice cream outside , there is some boundaries where you are not supposed to stand
A short walk across the busy streets surrounding the sensoji temple is this little shop that serves all things matcha. There are 7 levels of matcha to choose from and if you have the stomach for strong matcha taste, do get the level 7 which costs Abit extra but worth the money spent. Overall good experience as you will not find a richer matcha ice cream around. If you do, please pm me. There are other flavors to choose from but people are here obviously for one thing... Matchaaaaaa
Highly recommend for those who love matcha ice cream, great service
